The B-Line: On the Edge of Bourbon Country

Updated Jan 30, 2020

The Cincinnati region was once home to one of the most robust collection of bourbon distilleries, whiskey warehouses and spirit infrastructure in the country. The unfortunate events of Prohibition put most of the industry out of business, but bourbon has come roaring back into the region.

Northern Kentucky, the gateway to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, has once again risen to take its rightful place as the Edge of Bourbon Country. Once crossing the Ohio River, you can visit the region’s new stars in the spirit industry like New Riff Distilling in Newport, Boone CountymDistilling or any of the new up and coming distilleries in
the region.

The B-Line, a special bourbon experience takes advantage of these distilleries and partners them with select bourbon centric bars and restaurants to provide you with a first sip of America’s Native Spirit.

There is so much more to enjoy in the Edge of Bourbon Country like breweries aging their beer in bourbon barrels or wineries doing the same. An abundant array of amazing bourbon bars on both sides of the river as well as culinary gems focusing on the spirit.

The options for bourbon in the Queen City are as diverse as the spirit itself. Experience as much of our region’s unique bourbon culture for yourself and make sure to visit one of the many retailers focusing on bourbon to bring Kentucky’s finest home with you.
