BB Riverboats, a Cincinnati Favorite

BB Riverboats came to existence through the Bernstein family’s one time popular riverboat dining restaurant Mike Fink’s. Visitors to the restaurant kept asking owner Alan Bernstein when the boat was going to leave on a cruise. In order to satisfy his customers, Mr. Bernstein began o ering cruises on the Mighty Ohio, booked through Mike Fink’s restaurant, in 1979.

The CitiView recently sat down with Ben Bernstein, who currently runs BB Riverboats, to chat about what makes the BB Riverboat experience such a unique and fun lled adventure and why the company has continued to grow over the past 30+ years.

When we asked Ben what makes the BB Riverboat experience so special his instant response was to note Cincinnati’s incredible skyline.

“Cincinnati’s skyline combined with the openness of this part of the Ohio River create a breathtaking experience. Add a Cincinnati Reds baseball game with the stadium and the rest of the city lit up on a warm summer’s night and that’s about as good as it gets!”

While BB Riverboats looks like and is a large scale operation, the company is still family owned and operated. Ben Bernstein added, “The exceptional food, view and impeccable service all come with pride and a personal touch that is prominent throughout the company and shared with each and every guest.”

“Summer is our favorite time on the river, of course, but the Fall is also spectacular as we get to see the leaves change and all the colors of fall along the riverside,” Ben commented.

Their fleet currently consists of the Belle of Cincinnati and the River Queen and both vessels run regularly.
BB Riverboats o ers a variety of cruises catering to every age, interest and occasion. Daytime, evening and family sightseeing cruises are offered.
