More than just a hotel, the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel is a stunning example of true French Art Deco design and is a true architectural masterpiece. First opened in 1931, the landmark downtown Cincinnati hotel quickly became an integral part of the cityscape and is widely recognized as one of the first multi-use complexes in the United States.

One of Cincinnati's Best Downtown Hotels

Designed from the get-go to function as a type of “city within a city,” the original complex was designed to house an office tower, a hotel, a fully-automated parking garage, an expansive shopping complex and a number of restaurants. This forward-thinking approach created a lasting masterpiece that is still considered to be one of the Queen City’s crown jewels.

The main lobby of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel features at least a half-acre of rare Brazilian rosewood, along with German silver accents and a regal Egyptian-style theme throughout that is reinforced with delicate floral motifs and stylized ceiling murals, detailed frescoes and an original fountain designed by Rookwood.

Today, this top downtown Cincinnati hotel is also home to Orchids at Palm Court, a restaurant that was named the #7 best place to dine in the USA by OpenTable in 2014 and boasts the same luxurious décor you’ll find throughout the rest of the hotel’s common areas.

Also, don’t miss the famed Hall of Mirrors, which is modeled after the Palace of Versailles in Paris, as well as the striking floor-to-ceiling windows of the Continental Room and the stunning Pavilion Ballroom, which originally functioned as the hotel’s own nightclub.

Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza: A Cincinnati Hotel with Jacuzzi Suites

The hotel currently boasts more than 560 well-appointed guest rooms and Jacuzzi suites, featuring in-room safes, refrigerators, flat-screen TVs with high-def programming, WiFi access and a dedicated workspace. It is located in downtown Cincinnati within just a few blocks of nearly 100 shops and restaurants, in the Carew Tower shopping and dining complex.

The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel serves as the anchor for the city’s popular skywalk system, which allows patrons to walk – elevated from the street and protected from the elements – all the way to the Duke Energy Convention Center, as well as a wide variety of other businesses, shops and dining destinations.

Close To the Great American Ballpark

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Great American Ballpark, The Banks, Fountain Square, the Ohio River, US Bank Arena, Taft Theatern and Paul Brown Stadium. It’s also just under one mile from the new Jack Casino a 3.2-mile-drive from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. Other amenities include an indoor pool and fitness center, three opulent ballrooms and more than 40,000 square-feet of meeting space.
